I firmly believe in working together and Myrissa Scales believes the same. I caught up with the hard worker to give you a snapshot of her workout routines.
"I def like my workouts to be high intensity in the gym with a combination of weight training and cardio. For cardio, I do a lot of things like hill repeats, stairs, track workouts,jog and sprint intervals. In the gym I try/do a weight that challenges me, but where I can also complete my reps. Usually I do a routine of 20,15,10,15,20 with a minute and 30 seconds in between,or increase weight each time. For example if I am squatting, I would do 4 sets starting at 6 reps ending at 12 reps,each time going up in weight."

Taeveon Johnson (Proviso East High School Wide Receiver)
Interview with Taeveon Johnson
2) Every trainer has certain techniques that makes them unique.What do you like most bout Paris training techniques? The workouts are intense, organized with continuous actions, and no distractions. His motivation level and availability is exactly what I need.
3) While working with Paris Von, what did you learn? I learn that stretching is vital in improving my range of motion, which is needed as a wide receiver.
4) Over the course of training with Paris, did you see any improvements? Of course! My chest size increased along with increases in leg and arm strength. Also, my balance improved because of the core training he implemented.
Taeveon and I have been training with each other since October of 2011. He is currently a Junior at Proviso East High School, where he is the star wide receiver. From the first session of our training program, I knew he had what it takes to be a great player. Every component of his program was completed with hard work and something called the 3 D's (Discipline, Dedication, and Determination). Taeveon is very coachable and stays eager to learn more. Going the extra mile for him is a way of life in the gym and on the field. His 3 D's not only enhances his sports performance, but also his school work. Recently he was inducted into the National Honor Society and currently holds a 4.2 GPA. This is what separates the men from mice and I would like to commend him on balancing these two areas of his life so well. Due to his hard work on and off the field, colleges such as Yale, Ball State, Michigan State, and Iowa State University are interested in this student-athlete. Taeveon recently just came back from the Elite 150 camp in Jacksonville Illinois where he held his own. His next big move is the ESPN Spark Combine. Congrats to Taeveon and the whole Johnson family!!!!!

Meet 10 year Gracie (Lectura Montessori)
Gracie trains with us to improve her stamina, kicking ability, and core strength. She enjoys working out on the trampoline and completing obstacle course drills. This young lady is very smart and loves to work hard at soccer.

Meet Donnisha
When we first started Donnisha wanted to do more than I asked, which shocked me because she was a beginner. About two weeks into the program, she injured her back due to an imbalanced hip, but this did not stop her at all. About a week after the injury she was back at it, but this time she was faced with getting her wisdom tooth pulled. Not too long after her surgery, Donnisha showed up to the gym after I informed her to rest. I said to myself, "this is one tough lady". Because of her drive and determination it led to her receiving a slight infection at the surgical site. About another week goes by and then again I see this joyful woman in my gym ready to workout, but this time on a higher level. Donnisha joined Zumba Classes, trained with me, and also worked out on her own. She also has shown leadership skills by getting others involved such as friend, Ariel. Her goal is to slim down so that she would look good on her upcoming trip in April, which is not too far away. So far, she has lost about 8 pounds since we first started in January and I would like to congratulate her on the time and effort put forth to accomplish something that most people think is impossible. It is only impossible if you believe it is. When you realize what Donnisha did, which was that "when you start something you should finish it", you will accomplish more and build self-confidence within.

Meet Ben (Saint Mary's Basketball)
Been works with Paris Von on overall strength and weight loss during the week while on the weekend he tries to perfect his basketball skills. Ben is very coachable and enjoys shooting the ball. His size will allow him to dominate any opponent his age.
